January
Macclesfield Horse Show
The 2026 Macclesfield Horse Show is held, at the Macclesfield Oval in South Australia, running from approximately 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. It features various rings, including Pony Club, Harness, Kids Corral, and Show Jumping. A fabulous day for horse lovers.
February
All British Day
Held on the 4th Sunday in February. The All British Day event is a picnic day in Echunga with hundreds of British vehicles from 1900 to the present day, including cars, motorbikes, commercials, farming and stationery engines, plus displays and entertainment for all ages. The Trade stands and local food stalls bring a fete atmosphere to the Echunga Oval.
Public entry is from 10.30am.
April
Meadows 4 day Easter Fair
The Meadows 4 day Easter Fair is a large treasure market with over 100 stalls selling a wide variety of products such as locally made arts and crafts, plants, tools, books, clothing, toys, bric-a-brac, treasures and collectables.
Free off-street parking is available and there are plenty of toilets at the park or in the hall. The fair opens daily from 9am and closes at 4pm over the Easter long weekend.

An annual feast of activities for all ages and interests in Meadows, Macclesfield, Echunga, Prospect and Flaxley on the 2nd weekend in May.
Art exhibitions music, comedy and book festivals, Historial Museum open days, dining experiences, markets, local produce, farm animal displays, come-an-try events,, local business specials and so much more.
The perfect weekend to visit and enjoy the beautiful Battunga Country region.

The Family Fun day is held annually on the 2nd Satuday of May in the Flaxley Hall.
A fabulous day showcasing the Flaxley community spirit which is generosly shared with those that visit.
There is a nost of children’s activities, farm animals, local produce, baked goods, a hugh raffle, BBQ, Tea & Coffee and loads of country fun.

The village of Prospect Hill is 7 km south west of Meadows, the museum consists of a complex of historic buildings, depicting the life of early pioneers.
A treasure trove of history and memorabilia. The Museum showcases the history of the Prospect Hill village, the Ash Wednesday fires, and early history of the surrounding Adelaide Hills.

Hills Winter Lantern Festival is an annual community arts workshop program and festival held in Echunga
Each year, it showcases breathtaking lantern displays hand-made by local school children and community members, alongside music, food, and a stunning fire mural.
This family-friendly event is the perfect winter community event.
September
Creative Pursuits offers accessible, affordable, ‘bite-sized’ creative experiences across a full weekend. Audiences may attend the art exhibition showcasing a range of mediums, or stay and attend one of the many interactive creative workshops on offer.

The Meadows Country Fair is regarded as one of the best event of its kind in the Adelaide Hills, this year’s fair promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Amusement rides, children’s races, quality market stalls, Farmers Alley, live entertainment, field day, yard dogs, animal expo, special guest speakers, demonstrations, and more — there’s so much to entertain the whole family.

This event, has been run by the Macclesfield Community Association Inc since 1947, It is a day of fun for the whole family with a bucket load of Kid’s activities. There’s every kind of strawberry concoction you can imagine!
Annually on the 4th Sunday in November. Entry and parking is free.
